THERAPEUTIC RIDING LESSONS
Lessons are 30 minutes long and include mounted activities, horsemanship information and safe practices around the horse.
Before a rider starts lessons they must be assessed by the instructor. At this time, paperwork will be reviewed, goals will be set and the rider can meet the horses and the instructor. This is a great time for the rider, parents or guardians to ask questions and see if horseback riding is for them.
During inclement weather, lessons will continue in the barn, focusing on horsemanship and safety around horses. Only two lessons will be substituted in this way. Following that, lessons cancelled due to inclement weather will be made up at the end of the session, or money will be forwarded to next session.
We offer to all riders the opportunity to learn to groom and tack (saddle) a horse.
This is a 15-minute session with the instructor or qualified individual for a nominal fee.
